Fredas Akers, 86, of Huntington, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Huntington Health and Rehab. Fredas was born on June 24, 1925 in Wayne County, WV the daughter of the lateLucan and Margaret Hale Carey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Burl G. Akers. She is survived by her brother andsister in law: Archie and Lorna of Huntington. There will be no visitation or funeral services local. Mrs. Akers will be buried with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC.
