James Torrence

James D. Torrence, 63, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Huntington, WV passed away at Huntington Heath and Rehabilitation Center Friday, August 5, 2011 of a long illness. Survivors included his mother Mamie Lawrence of Kenova, WV, a sister Linda (Fred) Leonard, of Buffalo, IL, a daughter Lisa Torrence Malmquist of Lake Worth, FL, and 3 grandchildren. Additional survivors his uncles: Fred (Phyllis) Hite of Kenova, James Hite of Spring Valley, WV, Jerry( Peggy) Hite of Muncie, IN, and Junior (Pat) Hite, of Gaston, IN. He was preceded in death by his father James Torrence, a daughter Sunshine Torrence, nephew Ronnie (Missy) Ward, great-nephew Colton, and a great-niece Mandy. There will be no visitation. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Cannonsburg, KY.
