Leota Rowe

Leota Rowe,93, of Huntington, W.Va., widow of Earsal Raymond Rowe, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her residence.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Thursday, April 25 at the Reger Funeral Chapel, by Pastor Noah Robertson. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.  She was born May 14, 1925 in Ft. Gay, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charlie Wesley and Inez Webb Thompson.  She was an LPN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two daughters: Barbara Ann Hodge and Doris June Akers; grandson: Matthew Hodge; and siblings: Leona Josephine Wilson, Irma Hayton, Ralph Edward Thompson, Anna Sue Bittinger, Virginia Pearl Hampton, Joseph Wayne Thompson, Charles Nelson Thompson and Brenda Jane Johnson.  Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law: Paul Wesley and Diana Rowe and Cecil Ray Rowe; daughter and son in law: Kimberly Dawn and Brian Akers; grandchildren: James Hodge, Jr., Paul D. Akers, Daniel Akers, Robert Hodge, Jason Akers, Angela Stambaugh and Lee Rowe; great grandchildren: Brittany, Trent, Victoria,Trevor, Skyler, Taylor and Aubrey; brother: Johnny Layne Thompson; sister: Gladys Logan White and many nieces and nephews.
