Roger Lee Vance

Roger Lee Vance, 72, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 following a short illness. He was the son of the late Helen Berry Eckert and Audley L. Vance. Roger grew up in Huntington, WV., and was a graduate of KCU in Grayson, KY. He served in the Airforce From 1963-1967. He was a member of the Huntington Christian Church on Auburn Road. He served as a missionary in Puerto Rico from November 1978 – June 1979. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jackie L. Vance of Huntington, WV., two sons; Roger Douglas Vance of Union Town, PA., and Robert Phillip Vance of Matthews, NC., two daughters; Robin Vance Adkins and her husband David Adkins of Wayne, WV., Heather Vance Garris and her husband Jimmy Garris of Ansted, WV., a sister; Carol Eloise Vance Dement and her husband Jim Dement of South Charleston, W.Va., a brother; Rodney A. Vance and his wife Marsha Vance of Port Richey, FL., a very special aunt; Juanita White of Summerville, SC., and seven grandchildren; Jordan Tabor, Cody Tabor, TJ Adkins, Seth Adkins, Jacob Cameron, Haley Cameron, Kaitlyn Cameron, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted by Preacher Jeff Wickert on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:30 pm at the Huntington Christian Church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com
