In loving memory of Bernard Hampton. It is with heavy heart we bid farewell to Bernard Hampton, a beloved father, husband, and supporter of his community, who passed away on Sunday March 4, 2024. Born in Huntington, WV, on May 11, 1938, Bernard lived a life defined by his faith in Christ, compassion, integrity and unwavering dedication to his family and church. His witnessing to others about Christ changed many lives. As a father, Bernard was a beacon of wisdom and unconditional love. His guidance and support were shaping the live of his children and inspiring those around him. Beyond his family, Bernard was a US Navy Veteran, a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for 40 years and a deacon at Prince of Peace Baptist Church. His passion for classic cars evoked memories of simpler, happy times in an era when vehicles were shapelier and possessed a sense of personality. Classic cars brought joy not only to him but also to those fortunate enough to share his enthusiasm. Bernard leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience and generosity. His impact on our lives will forever be cherished and his memory will continue to inspire us. In his honor, we celebrate a life well lived, filled with moments of joy, love and invaluable lessons. Though he may be physically absent, his spirit will remain a guiding light in our hearts. The loss of Bernard is deeply felt by his family may his soul rest in eternal peace.
