Bertha "Cricket" Elizabeth Mccoy

Bertha Elizabeth �Cricket� McCoy, 86 of Kenova, WV passed away on September 1, 2015 at Heartland of Riverview in South Point, OH. She was born on July 19, 1929 in Wayne County, WV; a daughter of the late Oscar Eugene Brooks and Hattie Fern Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl McCoy and their daughter, Teresa Ann McCoy; and her siblings, William Ruth Mitchell and Oscar Eugene Brooks. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her son Jimmy Lee McCoy (Gloria) and her siblings: Betty Alice Hearl (Quincy) and Kay Cole (Jerry), and Billy Lee Brooks (Betty Lou). Also surviving are her 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She attended Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services for Bertha will be conducted on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 1:30 pm with visitation starting at noon at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Carl Lilly and Pastor Jody Fortner officiating.
