Bobby E. Raines

Bobby E. Raines, 89, formerly of Huntington, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. He was born February 19, 1936 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Robert and Lester Raines. Bobby was a graduate of Huntington High School. After attaining his pilot’s license, he became a Captain with US Airways from which he retired after over 30 years of service. He resided in Florida and then returned to the Tri-State area, living in Ohio and established the Hallmark Motor Company. Bobby loved to travel and hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son Brian Raines and two brothers Donald Raines and Howard Lee Raines. Survivors include his partner, Carolyn Harris; son and daughter in law Michael Raines and Dawn Renee Spencer; daughter Stehpanie Lynne Raines; grandchildren Amanda (Ryan) Coffey, Chase (Shannon) Raines, Casey Raines and BreAnna Raines; great grandchildren Cambre Coffey, Kate Coffey and Karis Coffey and his siblings Bertha Pinson, Jack Raines, James (Carolyn) Raines, Carolyn Sue Newman and Linda (Mark) Fulton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington by Pastor Dave Pinson. Friends may call from noon until service time on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter.
