Brenda Kay Carver

Brenda Kay Carver, 75, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Huntington. She was born on June 28, 1950, in Huntington, West Virginia. Brenda dedicated 35 years of service to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where she worked as a Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician in Central Supply. She took great pride in her work and the role she played in caring for others. Above all, Brenda’s life centered around her family. She was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in taking care of those she loved. She enjoyed cooking and sewing, but her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant everything to her. She is survived by her loving family: her son, Michael (Penny) Carver; her brother, Roger Carver; her niece, Alisha Chaffin; her grandkids, Paula (Brandon) Hines and Teresa Bowsher; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ava, Riley, and Isaiah Hines. She was preceded in death by her parents Opal and Vernon Carver Sr.; her brother, Vernon Carver Jr. and his wife Beverly Carver; her sister Linda Carver; and her aunts, Dorothy Hanshaw and Katherine Osborn. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Reger Funeral Home in Huntington, West Virginia. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. A procession will follow the service to Baylous Cemetery in Salt Rock, West Virginia. Brenda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
