Caroll Forrest Conner, 83 of Ceredo, WV passed away on February 6, 2018 at her daughters home in Flatwoods, KY. She was born December 14, 1934 in Hinton, WV; a daughter of Walter Shott and Edith Forrest (Collins) Simms although she was raised by her mom and her step-father, Roy Talbots Simms. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buel "Gene" Eugene Conner in 2015; and her siblings, Roy Simms, Jr. and Mary Frances Simms. Caroll was a Curator for the Ceredo Museum. She loved history so this was a perfect job for her in obtaining many historic articles for the museum. She loved Ceredo and enjoyed organizing the parades and the town reunion. Caroll was a band booster, member of PTA and was active in bringing back the New Crescent Newspaper. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ceredo. She is survived by her children: David Eugene Conner and his wife Ladonna, Danny Joe Conner and his wife Sara and Sheila Jean Larsen and her husband Tom. Also surviving is her grandchildren: Chandra Grubb (David), Joey Conner, Justin Conner (Cristan), Lynne Conner, David Conner, Michael Larsen (Tiffany), Amy Prescott (Stephen) and Ellie Scott (Ryan); 9 precious great-grandchildren; her sister Judy Mikula; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2 p.m. with visitation one-hour prior with Pastor Brad Whiteford officiating.
