Charles Edward Schafer, 85, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2011 at Cornerstone Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Charles was a retired sales man for Western Auto and a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy Charles was born on December 1, 1925 in Huntington, WV, the son of the late Joseph and Cora Matthews Schafer. He is survived by his two sons; Charles V. and James A. Schafer and two daughters Deborah Schafer and Linda Shepard and two brothers; Joseph T. and James L.
