Christopher Wayne Burns

Christopher Wayne Burns, 54 of Huntington, WV passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 27, at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Bro. Charlie Spears. There will be no burial. Christopher was born December 1, 1959 in Portsmouth, Ohio a son of the late Charles Russell Burns, Jr. and the late Edna Jean Goldcamp Burns. His brother John Anthony Burns preceded him in death as well. He was a former employee of Special Metals and a member of Local Union # 40. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cheryl “Sherry” Thompson Burns; one son and daughter-in-law Jonathon Russell and Traci Burns, one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica Lynn and Brad Scott and five grandchildren: Laura, Izabella, Mackenzie, Abylen, and Braylen. In addition, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Brenda Burns, and one sister Cindy Burns three nieces, Rachel, Kate and Marisa, a special mother-in-law, Shirley Thompson, one brother-in-law Dan Thompson, and a host of friends and family.
