Clinton Ray Bowen, 85 went peacefully with our Lord, on June 1, 2026. He was born in Huntington,WV on September 9, 1940 to his beloved parents,the late Clayton Bernard and Dorothy Louise (Spence) Bowen.  He attended Huntington East High School before joining the US Marine Corps.  He spent his life serving the Lord. He worked at Armco Steel, until his retirement.  He was a member and served as Commandant in the Post 23 Marine Corps League.  He was also a member of the Huntington Masonic Lodge # 53 AF & AM and of the Scottish Rite. He attended Marshall University. He was also an airplane pilot. Most of all he was a man who loved God first, and loved his family endlessly and unconditionally. He loved nature and taught this to his family.  He loved his state and his country; he was a carpenter and a fisherman, he enjoyed hiking, volunteering at the VA, serving in many capacities in his church, campaigning for his party, planting trees, his dog Lily, his fish camp, gardening, bee keeping and farming. He was a light in the world and will be missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Leroy, Clayton(Sandy), Donald L. (Kay) brothers-in-law: George Lovejoy and Johnny Tabor; his sister Mary Blevins( Willis), He is survived by his wife Jean Ellen Bowen; his children: and their spouses, Debbie Annett (Steve), Clinton, Jr. (Tamyra), Brad (Christina), Paul (Andi), much loved grandchildren: Mechelle, Alec,  Evan, Luke, and Chad;precious  great-grandchildren: Amiah, Dreyton, Olivia, Chandler, Ava, Savanna, and Clint Beau; his siblings: Nancy Lovejoy, Charley (Janit) Bowen, Donna  Tabor, Robert ( Diana) Bowen, and a host of nieces and nephews that he cherished so much, the mother of his children, Hazel  Kirschenmann, and Jean Ellen's children: Amy Diamond, Sara (Eddie) Covington and their son E.J., and Kirk Diamond.  A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 at Reger Funeral Home. Funeral services be at 1:00 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel conducted by Fr. Jim Morgan,  with burial following in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
