Listen to Obituary

Clinton "Clint" Meadows, Jr. 84, of Nicholasville, KY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Dottie Meadows, son, Lonnie Meadows of South Point, OH, and daughter Marcie Meadows Thompson of Nicholasville, KY; his brother Ronald Meadows of Proctorville, OH: his grandchildren who knew him as "Papa", David M. Meadows, Jr., Brittany Boswell, Clint (Lauren) Meadows, Blake (Trinity) Meadows and Carson Meadows Thompson: dear great grandchildren and loving companion-dog Maggie. He is also survived by a special cousin, Geri Harless Hardin of Inez, KY.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clenton and Vertus Marcum Meadows: brother, Larry Meadows, sister, Connie Meadows and son, David M. Meadows.

Clint was a loving husband and father - a real family man, and a true friend. He was kind to everyone and generous with all that he had. He had an easy smile, loved to laugh, and despite a childhood accident where he lost three fingers, had the firmest of handshakes. He loved cars, especially Corvettes and owned too many to count. He loved attending car shows, fishing, the Kentucky Derby, and following Marshall Football, at home and on the road. Clint was very mechanically minded and could repair or do just about anything. If a friend needed to borrow a tool or needed help, Clint came to the call. You could find Papa watching Kentucky basketball or shooting hoops in the driveway with grandson, Carson. He loved dogs, horses, and flying. Clint was a graduate of Vinson High School. He was a licensed pilot and flew at Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, FL where he worked as a supervisor.

He and his dad, Clent Sr. would often fly to the Bahamas just to have breakfast. He also worked in his family's business, Harris Calorific Welding and Safety, as a co-owner and salesman. He taught welding at Collin's Career Center in Chesapeake, OH, and owned Huntington Hose and Hydraulics where he never met a stranger. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in Huntington, WV where he was a faithful greeter, usher and taper lighter. Above all, Clint knew Jesus and walked with Him daily. When memory failed, he never forgot how to pray. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
