Constance Maynard

March 8, 1954 — December 16, 2023

Constance Sue "Connie" Perdue Maynard, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Huntington, WV, wife of Gary L Maynard, walked through the gates of Heaven to eagerly meet Jesus on Saturday, December 16th, 2023. She was born March 8, 1954 to Richard C and the late Mary Frances Jarrell Perdue. She graduated from Barboursville High School in 1972 and attended Marshall University.  She married her favorite guy, Gary Maynard, in December 1974. She previously worked at CG Biscuit Co, Fruth Pharmacy, HIMG and Valley Health before retiring in 2018. She was a member of HWBC and the Huntington 500 Club for many years.  She was a member of Kellogg Independent Holiness Church of God in Huntington and attended Chapel by the Sea in North Myrtle Beach. She loved reading, music, trivia, games, cooking, sewing, and "living the dream" but considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment. She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Gary, four wonderful children; Brian of Fredericksburg, VA; Brad (Jamie) of Barboursville, WV; Beverly (Josh) Porter of Fort Carson, CO; and Brandon (Becca) of Huntington, WV. She was Nana to 10 very loved grandchildren; Madi and Phoebe of Fredericksburg, VA; Wyatt, Josie and Knox of Barboursville, WV; Caleb, Gavin, Sadie and Macie of Fort Carson, CO; and Sophia of Huntington, WV. She is also survived by one sister, Carolyn (Joe) Powers of Huntington, WV; 4 brothers; Rick (Tami) of Parkersburg, WV; Ernie (Penny) of North Myrtle Beach, SC; Alan (Helene) of Frederick, MD; and David of Winchester, VA; in-laws Loretta (Roger) Henderson of Charlottesville, VA; Ervin (Edie) Maynard of Huntington, WV; 18 nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and numerous friends.


Funeral services will be held at Reger Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023; with a visitation 1 hr prior to service.  Private family burial will follow in Susie Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Connie has requested donations be made to The WV Saints Missionary Softball Prison Ministry (contact Brandon Maynard - maynard.brandon.j@gmail.com), Kellogg Church (contact Roger Mooney - moonhdridr@aol.com), or Chapel by the Sea (contact Linda Irick - thechapelbythesea@yahoo.com) in her memory.
