Cora Coraline Burns

Cora Caroline Burns, 86. of Proctorville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 31, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm by Pastor Don Reynolds on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Cora was born on December 13, 1939 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Hood and Nellie Wilson Bocook. She attended Guyan Creek Church. Cora loved to read the bible and loved to listen to music and color. She was a woman dedicated to God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Floyd Burns; children, Barbara Scarberry, Joseph Charles Burns, Ray Hood Burns, and Diana Carter; grandson, Tyler Ray Burns; great grandson, Mason Ray Burns; and two brothers, Charles Hood Bocook and Dewey Richard Bocook. She is survived by her children, Debbie Fay Horn, Danny Lee Burns, Mark Anthony Burns, Eric Lee Haynes, and Bruce Allen Scarberry; thirteen grandchildren, Brandon Burns, Chris Burns, Hannah Burns, Courtney Horn, Jessie Burns, Tommy Horn, Aaron Horn, Sonya Slone, Brittany Holstein, Randy Carter, Johnny Carter, Jacob Burns, and Amber Haynes; six great grandchildren, Pastelle Burns, Savanna Horn, Madison Horn, Tucker Burns, Caroline Burns, and Sawyer Burns; a host of nieces and nephews; a special childhood friend, Barbara Dailey; three special sister-in-laws, Trudy Burns, Goldie Bocook, and Brenda Bocook; and many other loving friends and family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers of Hospice of Huntington for the excellent care they provided Cora. Friends may call from 11 am until service time on Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
