David Jesse Pennington

David Jesse 'Pappy' Pennington, 64 of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 2, 2014 in Mt. Hope, West Virginia. Memorial services will be conducted by Pastor Keith Wiebe and Pastor Bryan Chaffins at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 at Grace Gospel Church, located at 1111 Adams Avenue Huntington, WV. David was born May 31, 1949 in Huntington, WV the son of the late William Jesse and Winifred Sweeney Pennington. He was a retired employee of the U. S. Postal Service and a Veteran of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Ann Taylor Pennington and his sister Donna Ruth Talbert. Surviving is his loving daughter, Heidi R. Pennington of Huntington, WV. David was a member of Grace Gospel Church; he loved his church family and the choir. He also had a wonderful voice and using it for the Lord was his ministry. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2014 at Grace Gospel Church. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post 93 of Ceredo and the Military Honor Guard of Kingwood, WV. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
