Deborah Juanita Rickman, 74, of Lavalette, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley, Ironton, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am by Pastor Bill Napier on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Prince of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Deborah was born on February 15, 1962, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Raymond Richard and Francis Juanita Beckett. She was a manager at Hills Department Store and a member of Prince of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Rickman, Sr.; and one brother, Gary Beckett. She is survived by her children, Brian Maxey, Johnathan Brent Maxey, and Kimberly (Joshua) Kotalic; step-children, John (Rhonda) Rickman, Jr., Bill (Tina) Rickman, Misty (Jeff) Mink; grandchildren, Tyler Day, Breann Maxey, Blake Day, Emily-Dawn Taylor and her mother, Tammie Kincaid, Nathan Day, Ashton Rickman, Cassie Crum, Devon Rickman, and Austin Mink; one sister, Sharon "Sherry" Blake; one special sister, Mary Wright; and the family would like to extend a special thank you to her close friends and caregivers, Jim Vance and Tammy Freeman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
