Denitta Bias

Denitta "Sue" Chafins bias, 84, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was a former teacher at River Valley Child Devekopment Services, and a member of Lavalette Faith Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Bias, Jr.; parents, Bonna "Louis" and Nanny Gilman Chafins; brothers, Hubert Chafins and Bill Chafins; and a sister, Emogene Adkins. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Larry) Bortel of Proctorville, Ohio; granddaughter, April (chelsea) Seng; grandsons, Joshua (Anna) Lucas and Dakota (Samantha) Bortel; six great grandchildren, Sophia, Amelia, Abigail, Alayna, Zayden, and Marcus. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family. Services will be conducted at Lavalette Faith Freewill Baptist Church on Monday, August 25, 2025 beginning with visitation at 11:30 am and service following at 12:30 pm. Pastor Phil Williamson will be officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va.
