Dessa Ruth Stover

Dessa Ruth Stover, 77, of Huntington, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. A memorial gathering will be held for friends and family on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 from 1 - 2:30 pm at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. Dessa was born on May 21, 1947 a daughter of the late Charles Earl McClanahan, Sr. and Gloria Mae Smith. She was a CNA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner Charles Edward Stover; one brother, Charles "Chuck" McClanahan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher (Victoria) Stover, Jason Patrick Stover and Jennifer Stafford; daughter, Kimberly Stover and Jamie Buxton; nine grandchildren, Jacob Stover, Myson Stover, Lyric Stover, Kylan Stover, Brandon Stover, Liam Stover, Donovan Buxton, Patience Stover-Heath, and Cora Basenback; and four great grandchildren, Mila Stover, Estella Stover, Declan Stover, and Kyra Traylor. Reger Funeral Home, Huntington is assisting the family with arrangements.
