Dolly E. Clarkson

Dolly Ester (Chafin) Clarkson, 74, of Ceredo died Saturday at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born April 19, 1937 in Hode (Martin Co.) KY to the late Marion and Carrie (Horn) Chafin. Mrs. Clarkson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ceredo. Survivors include her husband of 53 years Clarence H. Clarkson, two sons Mark (Becky) Clarkson and Charles Clarkson. Other survivors include grandchildren Ryan Kay (Matt) Skeens and Jordan Rae Clarkson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Charles Chafin, Donnie Chafin, James Chafin, Shirlen Chafin, Walden Chafin, Richard Chafin, Noah Chafin, and Geraldine Chafin Burnette. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Ceredo with Pastor Rodney Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday at the church. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to the Hospice of Huntington.
