Dorothy L. Fillinger

Dorothy L. Fillinger, 89 of Huntington, WV passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Joey Kennedy. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Huntington. She was born May 20, 1926 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late John Henry Clayton and Gladys Basenback Fillinger. She was a retired vice-president of Guaranty National Bank (now Huntington Bancshares). She was also a charter member of Westmoreland Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Loyal Daughters and was very active all of her life. Dorothy was also an avid bowler , talented artist and enjoyed golf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Virginia Fillinger, Annabelle Burnley , Vetress Sarver and an infant brother. Survivors include, nephews and nieces, Michael Burnley, John Burnley (Becky) ,Janet Greear (Dewey) and Sharren Morgan; great nieces and nephews, Jessica Elliott, Ryan Burnley ( Elizabeth), James Burnley (Rachel) and Timothy Greear; two great great nephews Henry and Noah Burnley, and great great niece, Brenna Kokichi –Burnley.
