Eloise Dean Ward

Eloise Dean Ward, 95, of Lavalette, WV, widow of Jack L. Ward, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.  She was born March 1, 1931 in Wayne, WV, a daughter of the late Lucian and Myrtle Bradshaw Dean.  Eloise was a longtime employee of Foard and Harwood, at both the downtown Huntington and the Huntington Mall locations.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sons Joseph Earnest Ward and John Layne Ward both of Huntington; sister Zena May Frye of Lavalette, WV, and a special nephew Ronnie Edgar White Skeens of Oklahoma.  Survivors include two daughters in law Joyce Asbury Ward and Lee Smith Ward both of Huntington; granddaughter Jacqueline Holm (Gregory) and a grandson; great grandchildren Sophia Holm and Colton Holm both of Huntington; sister Helen Skeens of Huntington; nephew David Dean of Ft. Gay, WV and special niece Kathy Skeens of Oklahoma and her longtime friend Connie Davis and her family of Marietta, GA.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lavalette Volunteer Fire Department, the Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.  At Eloise's request there will be no services.
