Evelyn Mae Layne

Evelyn Mae Layne, 95, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at King's Daughter's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Warren at 1 pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Evelyn was born on July 6, 1930 in Circleville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carl and Edith Baker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Layne; and one brother, Gene Baker. She is survived by her three children, Deborah (Gary Maynard) Baker, Ron Howard, and David (Stacy) Layne; eight grandchildren, Stephen Howard, Andrea Nicely, Heather Layne, Mark Howard, Stacy Layne, Jared Layne, Jordan Layne and Jadyn Layne; eight great grandchildren, Sammy Spencer, Aerin Howard, Alexandria Lindberg, Kylie Howard, Will Lindberg, Amelia Howard, Adysen Howard, and Jalen Nicely; three great great grandchildren, Jaxon Layne. Maisie Layne, and Kai Howard; her brother and sister-in-law, Mike (Lydia) Baker; and a host of church family from Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church.
