Fay R. Moore

Fay R. Moore, 94, of Huntington, WV, widow of Charles R. Moore, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Fay lovingly known as Gigi, Granny, and Mom, loved her family especially her Rachel. She loved Jesus, her church family and never missed an opportunity to be with them. 

Fay loved volunteering at school and helping in any way that she could. If you knew her, you knew she was sweet and loving, but if you really knew her you knew she was our wild, rotten, sneaky, feral, 94 year old turdler. 

She was a lover of Austin's ice cream, Starbucks, Jim's Spaghetti, caramel apple suckers, Midway hot dogs, pontoon boat days at the lake, shopping anywhere, girls trips, beach vacations, Halloween, dressing up in costumes, running errands with her friend Lori, little gnomes, any dogs, riding in big trucks and all the bright colors. 

She was the professional neighborhood watch on Vinson Road for almost 30 years. She loved nothing more than laughing and making everyone around her laugh. To honor her bright and joyful spirit please feel free to wear your bright and joyful colors. 

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 4:00pm at the Ceredo Church of Christ by Minister Kevin Ruiz.  

She was a retired bank teller and a member of Ceredo Church of Christ and a  graduate of Vinson High School.

She was born on August 1, 1931 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Joe and Mildred Miller Rickett. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Jim Ronk; granddaughter, Kelly Keyser Roach; and a brother, James Rickett.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rae Ann and Grant Johnson; grandchildren, Amy (Rick) Frye, Jamie (David) Adkins and Rachel Johnson; great grandchildren, Katey and Kasey Roach, Jakob and Kaleb Frye and Mollie and Natalie Saxton; great great grandchildren, Owen Roach, Jordan Lovejoy, Asher Frye and Gradie and Oaklie Frye; and a close family member Darla Eckhart.

Friends may call from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Ceredo Church of Christ on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
