George Lewis Nelson, Jr.

Huntington
George L. Nelson Jr., 59, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Medical Center on February 23rd, 2026, following a multi-year battle with cancer. George worked in computer network administration and was a member of Salem United Baptist Church, Wayne, WV.
He is preceded in death by his son, Charles A. Nelson, his father, George L. Nelson Sr., and younger sister Rochelle (Nelson) Harold.
He is survived by his mother, Carol (Fraley) Nelson, daughter, Hannah M. Nelson, son, Richard B. Nelson, and two granddaughters Kloe Nelson, and Kinslee Nelson.
Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation from 12pm to 1pm on Saturday, March 7th at Reger Funeral Home in Huntington, where service will be held at 1pm, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, in Huntington.
