She spent 28 years at Corbin Ltd., making men’s suit jackets, retiring as a supervisor. A lover of the outdoors, Gwen devoted countless hours to her flower beds and garden. She also had a passion for cooking and sharing recipes and prepared numerous meals for loved ones who enjoyed eating them tremendously. Though health challenges limited her later in life, she was a talented quilter and enjoyed gifting baby blankets to new mothers. In 1983, she was baptized and became a devoted member of the Church of Christ at Fifth Street. She loved her brothers and sisters in Christ and looked forward to meeting us all in heaven someday.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital, Dr. Bir, Dr. Hayes, caregiver Becky Dingess, and the staff of the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their exceptional care in recent months.
