Harold Donald Perdue

Dear Family and Friends,

With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we share that Harold Donald Perdue, lovingly known as Don, entered the presence of his Savior on July 7, 2026. While we deeply mourn his passing and will miss him every day, we find comfort and peace in imagining the joyful reunion as Don was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved son, Don Michael.

Born on March 29, 1942, in Beckley, West Virginia, Don was the cherished son of Andrew Jackson Perdue and Nellie Louise Perdue. From an early age, he possessed a spirit of adventure, duty, and determination. Shortly after graduating from high school, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. The stories and memories from those years became treasured tales that he shared throughout his life, captivating family and friends with his warmth, humor, and pride in serving his nation.

It was during his time in the Navy that Don met the love of his life, Jacqueline Yvonne Perdue. Their marriage in 1964 marked the beginning of a beautiful journey built on faith, unwavering devotion, and enduring love. Together they created a home filled with laughter, strength, and compassion while raising their two children, Natalie Yvonne Bevins of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Don Michael Perdue, who preceded his father in death.

To know Don was to know a man who treasured his family above all else. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he found his greatest joy in the moments spent with those he loved. Whether enjoying family trips to the beach, exploring the mountains of Tennessee, or simply gathering to share stories and laughter, Don created memories that will continue to inspire and unite generations. After a long and dedicated career, he retired from Steel of West Virginia, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity.

A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kenova, Don lived a life firmly rooted in faith. His kindness, generosity, and servant’s heart touched countless lives. He had a gift for making others feel welcome, for turning everyday conversations into meaningful connections, and for sharing wisdom through the stories he loved to tell. His life stands as a testament to the power of faith, family, and steadfast love.

Don leaves behind his devoted wife, Jacqueline; his daughter, Natalie; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Though his earthly journey has ended, the values he lived by and the love he shared will continue to guide and inspire those who knew him.

Please join us as we celebrate Don’s extraordinary life on September 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Kenova, 1120 Poplar Street, Kenova, WV 25530. Family and friends are invited to share stories, memories, and reflections of the many ways Don enriched their lives.
