Helen Mildred Mathis

Helen Copach Mathis, 82, formerly of Kenova, W. Va., passed away Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Center, Sissonville, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Father Chuck McGinnis. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. She was born December 18, 1932 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine Macohonsky Copach. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband George “Paddle” Mathis; three brothers Pete Copach, Stanley Copach, Jr. and Edward Copach and a sisters Anna Gaylock. Survivors include a niece Virginia Ann Craft of Charleston, WV; great niece Sheena Craft of Charleston; great nephews Stephen Gaylock of Charleston and Paul Gaylock of Logan, WV; three great great nephews and two step daughters Georgeann Bias and Jonnie Dee Hatten both of Kenova, WV.
