Hershel V Plymale

Hershel V Plymale, 87, of Kenova, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Greg Page at 1 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Anthony Plymale Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. Hershel was born on November 3, 1937 in Kenova, W.Va. to the late Willard and Tennie O'dell Plymale. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Bueno Vista Lodge 60 AF & AM Prichard Whites Creek. He was a member and deacon at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Hershel worked for 25 years before he retired from Armco Steel. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Billie Plymale; son, Terry Joe Plymale; grandson, Cody Joe Plymale; and all of his siblings. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dee (Mike) McComas; granchildren, Justin McComas, Matthew McComas, and Sadie Beth (Wyatt) Dillon; great grandchildren, Huckson Dillon and Sutton Dillon; a host of loving nieces and nephews; and his caretaker, Laikin Brotherton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the EDJ Hospice House and the V.A. Nurses who provided Hershel with such great care and compassion. Friends may call from 11 am until 1 pm on Thursday at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
