"Jack" Enslow Johnson

“Jack” Enslow Johnson, 83, of Huntington, husband of Georgie Staley Johnson, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Reger Funeral Chapel..  Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV.  He was born February 9, 1935 in Lincoln County, WV,  a son of the late Sullivan and Susie Hinkle Johnson.  Jack was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Crescent Lodge#32 AF&AM of Ceredo, WV.  He was the owner and operator of Jack’s Cleaners for 45 years and was an avid supporter of Marshall University Athletics as well as a member of Vinson Memorial Christian Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Brent Scott Shirkey, II; brother Cute Johnson and sisters Violet Johnson and Lucille Horton.  Additional survivors include three daughters Sherry (J.W.) Griffith, Monica (Jerry) Lucas and Whitney Johnson; eight grandchildren Blake McClure, Paige and Chase McKnight, Kerrington and Riley Shirkey, Maddox Quate, Hayden Griffith and Sam Runyon and a great grandchild Mia Bridges and his brother Russell Johnson.  Jack was a thoughtful, caring people person, who always made those around him feel at ease.  Friends may call from 5-7 PM Friday at the Reger Funeral Home.
