James Casson Finley

James Casson Finley, 87 of Ceredo, WV passed away at home on January 20, 2018. He was born January 19, 1931 in Dunlow, WV; a son of Henry Finley and Bertha Adkins. James was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union Local 5. He spent his life as a brickmason. He had an artistic touch in all his creations, having designed beautiful fire places and hardscapes all over this area. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Shirley Ann (Walters) Finley and his son, Toby Jay Finley; and brother Nelson Finley. James leaves behind his loving family including his children: Jonathan Scott Finley (Becky), Henry Shawn Finley (Becky), Tessa Kay Hatten (Oscar), David Michael Finley (Pamela) and Veraleen Holland (Robert); his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his precious sisters: Lou Wechsler, Kathern Meade, Annie Sloan (Joe), Betty Wilson and Linda Prince; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 12 P.M. with Brother Todd Smith officiating at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with visitation one-hour prior. Private burial will be at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Ceredo, WV. CK18-004
