Janice Anne Malcolm Leonard, 85, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2026, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.Born on April 8, 1941, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late John Termine Malcolm and Mary Ruth (Perdue) Malcolm.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James N. “Jim” Leonard; her sister, Wanda Cutter; and her brother-in-law, Elwin Cutter.Janice is survived by her two sons, Jon Barton “Bart” Leonard and his wife, Lisa, and James Malcolm “Jamie” Leonard and his wife, Jennifer, all of Huntington. She is also survived by six grandchildren: James Leonard of Cleveland, Ohio; Kaleb (Savana) Leonard of Aurora, Missouri; Alexandra (Isaac) Moreno of Harrisonville, Missouri; and Roxanne, Everleigh, and Landry Leonard, all of Huntington. She is further survived by one great-granddaughter, Blake Leonard of Aurora, Missouri; and two very special nieces, Nita Hopkins of Owingsville, Kentucky and Lisa George of Bethany, Oklahoma.Janice was a faithful member of the 5th Street Church of Christ. She retired from United Way of the River Cities, where she worked as a bookkeeper.She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, especially her love of crocheting doilies, baby blankets, and other handmade gifts for family, friends, and fellow church members. Her thoughtful creations were treasured by all who received them.Graveside services and burial will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 1:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. Arrangements are being handled by Reger Funeral Home in Huntington.
