Joseph Dennis Sowards

Joseph Dennis Sowards, 76, of Kenova, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Joseph was born on September 5, 1949, in West Hamlin, W.Va., a son of the late Lester and Mabel Powell Sowards. He was a histology tech. Dennis and Bonnie enjoyed bicycling and camping. One of their favorite places to visit was Holly River State Park. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Jo Sowards; his daughter Shelley; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda (Keith) Bash and Cheryl Bias; two special nieces Michelle and Lindsay; three grandchildren, Ethan, Wyntre, and Jessenia; and many other loving friends and family members. There will be no services at this time. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
