Larry Wilburn Bowen, Sr.

Larry Wilburn Bowen, Sr., 79 of Huntington WV,  passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Hershel "Woody" Williams Huntington VA Medical Center. Larry was born September 26, 1946  in Huntington, WV a son of the late Nicholas and Edith M. Jessie Bowen.  He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the city of Huntington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Lee  Bowen, four brothers: Dave, Denny, Walt and Ray, and two sisters: Phyllis and Faye. Surviving Larry is one son Larry Bowen, Jr., and one daughter Kimberly Bowen, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Bowen and one sister, Sharon Bowen.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Reger Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
