Lydia Davis Pruitt, 56, of Huntington, West Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital. She was born March 3, 1969, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Jefferson Davis and Wanda Brumfield Davis. Lydia worked for the American Heart Association where she enjoyed traveling and interacting with children through the Jumprope for Heart program in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. She graduated from Vinson High School in 1987 and has continued to hold very close friendships with those she grew up with. She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church where she loved to serve wherever she was needed throughout the church. In addition to her parents, she is also proceed in death by her brother, Thorn Davis, and her father-in-law, Paul Pruitt. She is survived by her husband, Jack Pruitt, who she has been married to for 29 years, a son, Jack Pruitt, Jr. (Sabrina), a grandson, Lane Harrison Pruitt, mother-in-law, Polly Pruitt, and a sister-in-law, Brenda Davis, all of Huntington, West Virginia, as well as many friends and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Locust Grove Baptist Church, Saturday, January 3, 2026. The family will accept friends an hour before the service time.
