Mary Katherine Belcher

Mary Katherine Belcher (Patsy), 96yrs old, went to be with our Lord on January 6th, 2026 at her home in Huntington, WV. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Belcher, son Jerry Belcher, mother and father Carl and Edith Bish, brothers Johnny Bish and Bobby Bish, sister Betty Johnston, and her beloved poodle Raggedy Ann. She is survived by her son Teddy Belcher, granddaughters Jennifer Simpson and Elizabeth Belcher, grandsons Mason Belcher, Jerry Simpson, Philip Conn, and Scott Conn, multiple great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Patsy was a long-time member of the New Samaritan Church in Huntington, WV. Her faith and dedication to God was seen in everything she did. Her faith was unwavering. She provided love, comfort, and meals to her church family when they were ill or in need. She taught Sunday school and made homemade items for the church bazaar.

Patsy was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband doing all the bookkeeping for their masonry business. She took great pride in working in the election polls and even worked as a childcare provider, but her favorite and most rewarding job was taking care of her family. We often joked that the only reason some of us are still alive was the power of her prayers.

She was loved by everyone who had the privilege of meeting her. She had a way of making even the worst day better with her hugs, smiles, and kind words. The reunion in heaven must have been a site to see. We love you Nannie, Always and Forever
