Onelia Sandon

Onelia Sandon, 89, of Huntington, widow of Mario Sandon, passed away Sunday August 30, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral liturgy will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Chuck McGinnis. Entombment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born April 26, 1926 in Murano, Italy, a daughter of the late Umberto and Adalgisa Sartori Moretti. Onelia was a member of Sacred Heart Church for over 50 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law Liviana Elizabeth Bowling (Robert) and Gloria Angela Dick (Larry); grandchildren Marco A. Bowling (Whitney), Rocky A. Bowling, Daniel R. Dick and Lauren N. Dick and great grandchildren Makayla Dick and Robert A. Bowling. The family would like to offer a special thank you to her caregivers Rachel Persinger, Wilda Maynard and Patty Hardy. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 pm Wednesday before the Funeral Liturgy.
