Peggy Ruth “Boots” McComas, 91, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington with Pastors Phil Williamson and Ernest Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. Peggy attended Garrett’s Creek Community Church, Faith Free Will Baptist and Good Shepherd Holiness churches. She was born December 19, 1933, in Huntington, a daughter of the late William C. and Lula Bates Smith. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tilmon McComas, brothers Alvin, Bill, Wayne, Bob, and David Smith and three sisters Rosella (Sherman) McGown, Helen (Jack) Thompson, and Connie Banks. She is survived by one brother Jim (Shirley) Smith, and two sisters Mary Chatterton and Shirley (David) Spurlock. She also had numerous special nieces and nephews. She was woman of many talents and a special thank you to her artist friends, musician friends, and church families.
