Robert "Rob" Dale May

Robert “Rob” Dale May, 58, of Huntington, WV peacefully passed from this life at his home on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Rob was a stubborn, loving, short-tempered, and extremely kind-hearted man. He was the go-to mechanic, handyman, and workhorse for anyone and everyone. If you knew him, you know he wouldn’t accept a penny for his help, but maybe he’d take a bottle of Pepsi and a long conversation about everything and nothing. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Allison Ann May, and his parents David & Juanita May. He is missed by his wife, his beloved “Baby Doll” of 32 years, Brenda May, his sons, Bobby & Jared (Beth) May, his true pride and joy- his grandchildren, his “Little Buddy” Perry and his “Princess” Annie May, his siblings Pam May, Davey (Helen) May, Russell (Jenny) May, and Tom May, a special cousin Gary (Christy) Scarberry, and a host of deeply loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rob absolutely loved children and never allowed a child to go without. In lieu of flowers, Rob’s family would like for you to make sure the kids in your family, community, and local schools are taken care of. Rob would want you to make sure they are fed, clothed, safe, and have all they need. Additionally, donations to the Ceredo Volunteer Fire Department, where Rob volunteered to help the community for many years, would be appreciated. The family will receive visitors from 1:00-3:00pm on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Reger Funeral Home in Huntington. A family graveside service will follow.
