Roger Lee Dingess

Roger Lee Dingess passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026 in Huntington WV.
Born on September 19, 1949, he was a lifelong resident of the Tri-State area.  Roger was the beloved son of Marvin and Alma Dingess, who preceded him in death as well as his devoted wife, Rebecca Dingess, whose memory he cherished dearly. He is survived by his loving sister, Joann Sizemore (Gary Staten) as well as his daughter, Kim Bass (Bill).  Roger's legacy continues through his four cherished grandchildren—Madison Johnson (Scott), Will Bass (Katie), Olivia Bass and Katherine Bass—and his seven great-grandchildren—Emersyn Johnson, Griffin Johnson, Noah Johnson, Bennett Johnson, Oakley Johnson, Liam Bass and Tucker Bass—each of whom brought cherished memories. Roger also left behind his devoted partner, Louisa Petry. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Heritage Center for the loving care that they provided during his stay. Roger loved The Lord, his family and the outdoors and leaves behind many great memories with his family.  In accordance with Roger's wishes, a private graveside ceremony will be held for the family.  Roger will forever be remembered as a loving father, brother,grandfather and great grandfather. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all.  Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
