Ronald Joe Brumfield

Ronald Joe Brumfield "Ronnie", 60, gained his wings on Sunday May 18, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Ronnie was born on October 25, 1964 to Raymond and Mary Ann "Billie" Brumfield. Ronnie faced many struggles and hardships during his lifetime, but always through it all maintained a bright, cheerful demeanor in spite of them. He greeted everyone with a beautiful smile and never met a stranger. Ronnie enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music and making new friends at J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center, where he was a resident for over 35 years. He also made new friends during his stay at Teays Valley Center in Hurricane, W.Va., where he resided for the past 5 years. Ronnie was preceded in death by his loving parents; and a very special aunt, Louise (Thompson) Carey. Survivors include his sister, Phoebe Lee Watts; brother-in-law, Carl E. Watts; and his nephews, Edward L. Watts and Daniel T. Neal. A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor Jesse Simmons on Friday May 23, 2025 at 2 pm at Dock's Creek Cemetery. Burial will follow. Friends may call from noon until 1:30 pm at the Reger Funeral Home Ceredo-Kenova Chapel. A procession will leave for the cemetery at 1:30 pm. Reger Funeral Home Ceredo-Kenova Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
