Rosa Garcia, 94, passed away peacefully in her home on January 18, 2026. Rosa was born on January 3, 1932 to Enid and Charles Tomlin in Huntington, WV. After graduating high school, she immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force where she served during the Korean War. After her time in the Air Force, she moved to California where she fell in love with her future husband Robert Garcia, before deciding to move back to West Virginia. She was an avid reader of non-fiction books and the biggest fan of Tina Turner. Rosa was a caring, diligent, and strong-willed woman who will be missed by all the hearts she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Luther Tomlin and Jimmie Tomlin; and her daughter, Elaine Watson. She is survived by her brother, George Tomlin; her sister, Colleen Parnicza; her husband, Robert Garcia; and her granddaughter, Cassandra Watson. A graveside service with Military Rites will be conducted at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova.
