Sharon Lee Powers

Sharon Lee Moore Powers, 60, of Barboursville, formerly of Cyrus, passed away Sunday April 1 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 15, 1946 in Doddridge County, WV. A daughter of the late Lawrence Calvin and Wildadene Moore. She was a 1965 graduate of Buffalo High School. She was formerly employed at Cabell Huntington Hospital as a nurses aide. She is survived by her brother Donnie Moore of Kenova and her sister Diane Grant of Huntington, three daughters and sons-in-law; Carolyn and Bryan Workman, Carol and David Hodge, and Brenda and Kevin Armstrong, all of Cabell County, Six grandchildren; Justin, Brad, and Amy Hodge, Chase Nixon, Jordan Armstrong, and Brandon Workman, several nieces and nephews including a very special nephew, Sean Zirkle of Huntington, and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert Varney and Brother Clint Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Docks Creek Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
