It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sister Elizabeth Monsanto. Born Irma Mercia Monsanto on the 26th of August 1934, lovingly known by her family as Stabet. She served as a Pallottine nun in Benque Viejo Del Carmen, Corozal, Belize City and Punta Gorda and served at the Pallottine Renewal Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her mother, Estelle Tescum Monsanto; her father, Colin Monsanto Sr.; sisters, Elizabeth Kamel, Joan Antoinette Chamberlain, Gloria James, Elda Reneau; brothers, Colin Jr., Donald; and nephew, Damien Chamberlain. She is survived by her family in faith, the Pallottine Sisters of Belize, St. Louis, Missouri, and Huntington, W.Va.; Elizabeth Bryson; sisters, Valeria Cull, Greta Martha Williams; and brothers, Maxwell, Anthony, Elmer, Hector, and Kent Monsanto and their spouses; a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She joined the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 to dance with the angels in heaven. A Funeral Liturgy will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at St. Mary's Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time. Her body is being cremated so that her remains may be placed with her mother at Homeland Estates in Belize. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
