Sue Carol Rodefer passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of eighty-seven. She was born February 23, 1938 in Huntington, WV to Bridget Margaret Linkfield and Herman Linkfield. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Saint Joseph's High School in 1956. She spent most of her life in Huntington except for a dozen years in Florida after Rody retired. Sue was a domestic engineer known for her cooking and baking. As a young woman she was active in the Westmoreland Women's Club, Westmoreland Elementary School PTA and the Vinson High School Mothers' Club. She was a fixture at Colonial Lanes, bowling for over fifty years. She also organized and played volleyball for many years. Her favorite activity was cheering on her children and grandchildren as they played sports. She ran the concession stand at League One Little League field and was instrumental in organizing and coaching girls's softball in Westmoreland. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles (Rody) Rodefer in 2013, her brother Larry Linkfield and sister, Verena Kimler. She is survived by her children, Andrea (Scott) Austin of Huntington, WV, Natalie (Ron) Kauffman, of Summerville, SC, Troy (Lori) Rodefer of Lancaster, SC, and Jarrett Rodefer of Huntington, WV. She was an active Nana and her eleven grandchildren adored her. This includes Travis Austin, Kasey Kodack, Nelson Ward, Hunter Ward, Bridget Ward, Kyle Rodefer, Kory Rodefer, Katie Rodefer, Kristen Rodefer, Preston Rodefer, and Parker Rodefer. She leaves behind her younger brother, Walter Linkfield, and special niece, Theresa Kimler Rapp. A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, September 19th from 4-6 P.M. at Reger Funeral Home 1242 Adams Avenue, Huntington, WV.
