Terry Taylor Kitts

Terry Taylor Kitts, 67, of Ceredo, West Virginia, passed away on September 15, 2026.

Terry was born on December 16, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Perry “Pete” Kitts and Betty Kitts. He was raised in Ceredo, West Virginia, and called Ceredo home for most of his life. In recent years, Terry was a resident of Kingsbrook Life Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Terry worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for many years before becoming disabled. He also spent several years volunteering with the Ceredo Volunteer Fire Department. At different times in his life, he was involved with the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.

Anyone who knew Terry knew he loved to laugh and have a good time. He was always joking, picking on somebody, or trying to pull a prank. Giving someone a hard time was usually Terry’s way of letting them know he liked them. He had a kind heart, loved being around people, and could usually find a way to make somebody laugh.

He enjoyed fishing and loved electronics and gadgets. If there was some new piece of technology to mess with or something he could tinker with, it usually caught his attention.

But above everything else, Terry loved his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was especially proud of his two sons, Brandon and Brad, and he never hesitated to let them know it. He supported them throughout their lives, always had their backs, and was one of their biggest cheerleaders. He taught his sons the importance of being good men and good people, not just through his words, but through the way he treated others.

Those who loved Terry will miss a lot of things about him, but especially his sense of humor. They will miss the jokes, the laughter, giving each other a hard time, and all of those little moments that may have seemed ordinary at the time but now mean so much.

Terry is survived by his wife, Deborah Kitts; his sons, Brandon Kitts and his wife, Larisa, and their son, Colton, and Brad Kitts and his wife, Heather; his twin brother, Perry Kitts; and his sisters, Janet Kitts and Lisa Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry “Pete” Kitts and Betty Kitts.

A memorial service for Terry will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at Reger Funeral Home in Ceredo, West Virginia. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Terry’s memory to Kingsbrook Life Center or Community Hospice of Ashland.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
