Thomas Everett Wood

Thomas E. Wood became absent from the body and present with the Lord on June 12, 2025.  He was born in Hopewell, VA on February 17, 1933.  Surviving are his wife, Julie B. Wood, of 33 years, two daughters, two sons, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one very special stepdaughter, Laura Beatty and grandchildren that loved him more than life itself, Emily and Matthew.  Barry Davis is a friend who was more like a son.  Tom was a Navy Veteran, a retired Federal Correctional Officer at Summit Correctional Institute and a retired bus driver of the Chesapeake School System.  He was a  member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo and a member of the Proctorville Ohio Masonic Lodge #550.  Visitation will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 16, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Ceredo with the service following at 12:00 pm with Pastors Jeff Canterbury and Scott Byard officiating.  Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington,WV.
