Virginia Ellen Evans

Virginia Ellen Evans, 78, of Coal Grove, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at River Run Healthcare Coal Grove, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. Virginia was born on March 16, 1948 in Cumberland, Maryland a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Ruth Naomi Fadley Rockwell. She was a homemaker. Virginia loved cooking and tending to her flower garden. She also loved spending time with her family and was a fantastic foster mother to many loving children. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Evans; one daughter, Lisa Marie Evans; and two brothers, Harold Rockwell and Edward Nelson. She is survived two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray (Lisa) Evans, Jr., and Jacob (Angel) Evans; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tonya Prosser and Vanessa (Mike) Evans; eight grandchildren, Chaz Grobe, Ryan Evans, Tristan (Taylor) Evans, Kearston (Alex) Blatt, Jasmine Evans, Raylninn Evans, Zack Stanley, and Braxton Stanley; seven great grandchildren, Brycen, Mykala, Mykena, Kingston, Cleo, Salem, and Cali; one brother, Charles Rockwell; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Suetta (Joe) Gaither and Patricia (Alfred) Waley; many nieces and nephews; and six special friends, April Dent, Kathy Hutchinson, Ronnie Grobe, Chris Grobe, Gloria Grobe, and Mildred Stiltner. The family would like to extend a thank you to the loving and compassionate caregivers and friends at Riverrun Healthcare in Coal Grove.
