Virginia Fern Brown

Virginia Fern (Scott) Brown, 83, of Ceredo passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the St. Mary�s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born May 11, 1926 in Pike County, KY to the late Julius W. and Polly (Hatfield) Scott. She was a member of the Narrows Branch Old Regular Baptist Church in Pike County, KY. She united in marriage to Clyde Brown on May 16, 1947 who preceded her in death. To this union was born three daughters, Linda (Jerry) McCoy of Forest Hills, KY, Sarah (Kevin) Dixon of Kenova, WV, and Nancy (Kevin) Mitchell of Hilliard, OH. Four granddaughters; Lora McCoy, Tara (Tony) Adkins, Kara Dee (Jason) Vuic, and Amy Beth McCoy. Two grandsons; Tracy (Cindy) Dixon, Scott Mitchell, and four great-grandchildren. Along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11am Thursday, at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Elders Tommy Dials, Wayne Herald Jr., and Bobby Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Kenova. Visitation will be from 5-9pm Wednesday with special singing at 7pm.
