Vivian Rose Cornell

Vivian Rose Cornell, 77, wife of 56 years to Leonard Cornell passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by Monsignor Dean Borgmeyer on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was born on January 23, 1949, in Huntington, WV., the daughter of the late Carl Birch and Frances Agnes Hill Mooney. in addition to her parents she was preceded by her brothers and sister: Michael and Carl Thomas Mooney, Mary Turner, Ida Mooney and Frances Ann Mooney. She was a retired cashier from Marshall University and a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter and son in law, Charlene "LeeAnn" and Mike McDade; and her granddaughter, Olivia McDade; one brother, Nicholas Mooney; and a sister, Sarah "Sam" Mooney.
